Sigh.
Remember, almost a month ago, I whined about my SAT Essay? I WAS RIGHT. I SCREWED IT UP. BADLY.
I MEAN, THIS *IS* THE FIRST ESSAY I EVER SCORED 5/12 FOR. 5/12. PATHETIC, I TELL YOU. My writing confidence has taken a blow. Sigh. I did hope for a 3/6. And I did. For ONE marker. AIH. I'll wait for July 6 for my full score report.
SO, I thank the Lord that Cornell and Georgetown don't take Writing scores into consideration (There's this saying - You may not get into the college you WANT, but you may be getting into the college you NEED). Besides, I may miss the cut for the AVERAGE, but there's still all those awesome students with below average SAT Writing scores, right? I mean, I am in the top 5% for Critical Reading (HA!).
So the verdict is:
Critical Reading: 700/800
Maths : 660/800 (The uncounted section must've been my better Maths section)
Writing: 510/800 (WOE), with MCQs at 56/80 and Essay at 5/12. MY ESSAY PULLED ME DOWN SO BAD.
NATIONAL PERCENTILE (I dunno out of how many)
Critical Reading: 95% (= I'm in the top 5%)
Maths: 88% (Top... 12%)
Writing: 55% (MIDDLE. Sigh. Only better than 55% of the people in there)
I hit the averages for CR and Maths for Cornell and Georgetown admissions, just missed the Columbia/Princeton average for Maths and Writing? Don't even need to TALK about it.
I WILL STILL TRY, THOUGH. BECAUSE THOSE ARE AVERAGES. FOR EVERY 2400/2400 SCORER IN HARVARD/COLUMBIA/THE IVY LEAGUE, THERE WILL BE A PERSON ADMITTED WITH 1600.
I want to go home now. Will blog when I'm home. Sigh.
