HOUSE
and
CSI NY
ARE
CAPTAIN AWESOMESAUCE.
Sorry. It's called the post-SPM high. Now I can collect my thoughts and write about life in school. And in my diary, too, because appropriately - I have 2 empty pages left in that book which I've used since '03 (No, I was not a good diary-updater)
Gosh, my morning tomorrow is going to be insane for about 2 hours.
9am - Return textbooks, pass reference books to Joanna
After that: Settle NS stuff. And then do stuff.
Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom has never been this busy. >.>
Things to blog about: 1) Prop 8 2) School! Primary, SECONDARY! 3) WHAT HAPPENS AFTER

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.
THIRD BATCH. SERIOUSLY?
I AM GOING TO APPEAL FOR FIRST BATCH, OR NOT GO FOR NS AT ALL.
LJ is being a bitch right now. And I seem to have lost what I typed just now - but it's okay. It was only, what, 3 lines? Anyway, I think I shall have a good sit down and type about my SECONDARY/HIGH SCHOOL LIFE, or rather, my ENTIRE SCHOOL LIFE after SPM, to celebrate/mourn the ending of one stage of my life and the beginning of another. Random randoms for the day: I didn't know I had Stick It until I was watching 07 Worlds with my sis, and she was like, "Have you watched Stick It yet?" I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAD IT IN THE DVD ALL THE TIME. Thankfully I didn't download it. It would've been a waste of disc space and time. Also, I like this picture. And Chooi Si looks like a creeper. Hee.

Good Lord I suddenly thought it was Friday.
Hmm.
There was something I wanted to update about just now, but I seem to have forgotten. I will when I remember.

So last night, I had a talk with my Mum about what I planned to study/major in next time, because that would affect what I first take in college.
*Cue how-did-you-do-in-exams, what-subjects-are-your-strength*
I was telling her how I would love to do Science (Like Biomed), but now I'm unsure of whether I really want to be in a lab all the time. I mean, I love having alone time, but Science poses a different sort of challenge. And I told her that realistically, I'd end up doing Humanities. My Mum told me how she wanted to be a Microbiologist ('Cause she rocked at Bio), but sucked at Chemistry (I was like, "What? I thought you said you sucked at Physics"), so she couldn't do microbiology in the end (Imagine, my mum as David Sandstrom. Oops. Going off topic), and then she was saying that she felt that she was a very analytical person. THUS, ACCOUNTANCY CAME UPON HER. (Man I hope that doesn't happen to me. But now I realized how much more similar I am to my mum. I mean, type of food we like is one thing. How I act is another. LOL) (I have good genes.)
She didn't seem to mind when I said I wanted to do Political Sciences, haha. She was like, "The first degree isn't really *that* important. It's *where* you get your first degree from," because she knows this guy who's a director in an investment bank who got a degree in HISTORY in Oxford. It's more of the analytical skills and stuff that they want.
Mum also suggested that I might want to take Commerce (Uh... Accounting? No.) and major in something OTHER than accounting, like, maybe Business Admin or something. (Cue "Oh, I'd love to work in the UN" I got a "There, Business Admin can what." reply)
Then Mum suggested Psychology, which I think is an interesting field of study, but I don't want to spend too much time with head cases, or not I might become a head case myself. Besides, Psychology is taught in Political Sciences, so that's covered a little, LOL. Then I was like, "Psychology? HMM. HOW ABOUT SOCIOLOGY?" because it's probably a less head case-y study of human behaviour.
My problem now : I want to study in the US. The only way I can get into a good uni/an Ivy League, is if I take A-Levels or IB. Because SAM? Is only accepted in 7 US uni's, from the list I checked. I don't want to take A-Levels, because I know that I suck under the British education system, and the problem with IB will be cost and accessability to the campus (Taylors is offering it at Sri Hartamas at mid '09, the only other place that offers IB is ISKL - That is, The International School of KL, and if I'm not wrong, KDU. You know how expensive private schools are. Ew.)
So, since I want to work in the UN, I just thought that maybe I'd ask my mum's friend for input, since she works in the UN. But then I realized that she's only coming back from NY during, like, Chinese New Year, I think, and DAMN YOU, NATIONAL SERVICE. Unless I somehow get to see her during my one-week break which I will be applying for for CNY. Hmph.
SO YOU KNOW WHAT MY PLAN IS NOW?
PRAY. Hahaha. Yes, I'll pray so that I make the right choice and that I won't ever regret it. EVER.
SO I SHALL PRAY.
AND STUDY BIO AND PHYSICS. NOW.
[Edit]: OMG THEY SHOWED AARHUS. THEY FREAKING SHOWED AARHUS. THEY SHOWED THE WOMEN'S EVENTS AFTER THE MEN'S. WHICH MEANS I PROBABLY MISSED STUTTGART!
NO!
OTOH: Nastia was already out of her awkward stage in '06, aSac was already captain, and Chellsie fell off the UB, but she's still fierce. Also, Dad (Who happened to be near the TV when I just changed channels to OMGCHELLSIEMEMMEL) went "Chellsie Mem(As in memo)mel (As in Mel Gibson)" I LOL'ed internally.
Also, Cheng Fei is awesome. 'Nuff said. And it was only teams. I'm holding my hopes out that next week they'll show individuals ('Cause Soccermoney won Silver on vaults in Aarhus!). WAIT.
NO. NO. SHOW RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS NEXT WEEK. I WON'T BE HERE. THERE'S NO 8TV IN WHOEVERS HOUSE IT IS IN SINGAPORE. GAH.
[Edit edit] Oh, ShawnJohn, why so presh? I know you love peace signs and all. But seriously. I don't think peace signs should be on leotards. And are you doing it because Nastia has a signature line of gym equipment? Because if you are, that is adorable. And you can't have tater without tots.
[Triple edit] I can bet with you that you didn't understand a single one of my edits.

Chellsie is so awesome with her car choice. AUDI, FTW! And her dream car? "My silver Audi TT" (Which she already owns) Upgrade to the R8, bb. Or you could just modify your TT to look like an R8 (Because I saw someone's TT modified to have the R8 sideblades and stuff. But the original >>>>>>>>> a modified TT)
Did I tell you that my Dad SAW AN AUDI R8 WHEN THEY WENT TO SINGAPORE TWO WEEKENDS AGO? WHY? WHY DID HE GET TO SEE THE R8 AT ONE OF THE *ONLY* TIMES I COULDN'T FOLLOW THEM DOWN TO SINGAPORE?! (DARN YOU, SPM)
Considering the fact that he saw it around the Marine Parade/Marine Parade Community Centre area, I am holding my hopes up that the R8 belongs to SOMEONE ON THE EAST COAST, AND I WILL BE ABLE TO SEE IT, SOMEHOW, WHEN I GO DOWN TO SINGAPORE NEXT WEEKEND. Or not I'll just beg someone to drive me to the Audi showroom.
Anyway, 3 days of exams left to go. My sister is coming back on Sunday night, and I probably wouldn't be able to see her until Monday afternoon (Aaaw), unless I cheat and stay up 'til about midnight. But Monday is Bio, and... whatever lah, see what happens.
Also, House mentioned Olympic gymnasts. It wasn't funny, but I LOL'ed.
NS list is supposedly going to be up online on the 27th. So...

Chemistry was... Chemistry was... Now it's gonna be hard to get an A1. And it was kinda anti-climactic after all the INSANE Pn Christina/Pn Pushpa/Pn Lee Yoke Lay chem papers we get in school, and Trials was definitely trickier, but I hope I didn't make any silly mistakes. OH, BIO ON MONDAY. MY FAVOURITE SCIENCE SUBJECT. I haven't been reading Bio recently, though. Aw. I hope Genetics comes out. I love that chapter. Got the 2nd Trials Physics paper 3 today, I got 34 out of 40, haha. I still don't know how I can score so well in Physics - but I'm not complaining. I kinda bust my ass trying to wrap my head around Physics, and the work pays off. But that doesn't mean I understand it. LOL. SPM is almost over - one more week - no time to slow down! TIME TO MOW THE LAST 3 PAPERS. [Edit] Also, for some funny: I'm not too sure about the details, but anyway, America's Big Three carmakers (Chrysler, Ford and General Motors, if I recall correctly), are in a pinch due to the current economic situation. The Democrats didn't like the Big Three because they didn't make fuel efficient cars, so the Big Three ran to the Republicans, but now the Republicans are refusing to bail the 3 companies out. I'll search for some news, but I'm not in a hurry. But that's just so you understand the 'toons. LOL, BARACK MOTORS. And, yeah, Obama got A LOT of cash during his campaign. Hahaha, I'm not an Apple fan, but too funny to pass.

I just deleted an entire crack-filled post because it was so random.
Hahaha.
Tuesday, November 18, 2008
LOL. Someone just compared Chellsie Memmel's looks to Dr Erica Hahn's (Grey's Anatomy, acted by Brooke Smith who was recently fired by ABC because of 'creative differences'. I think it's because her character's the only one that's really gay/bisexual/whatever. Spoilers for people out of the US who don't read the news?).
LOL.
Add Maths was... I shall not comment. All I can say is that doing the past year papers about 3 times didn't help.
Moral was fine. Better than Add Maths. And I love the rain.
Anyway, 6 subjects down, 4 more to go. 4 days to go.
I'm waiting for my NS letter to come.

I normally don't read press releases on future episodes and/or casting for them, but...
HOMG LORI PETTY IS GOING TO BE ON HOUSE IN 510
AAAAAAH!!!!
509 IS HAVING ZELKJO IVANEK, THEN 510 HAS GOT LORI PETTY?
A League of Their Own was, like, one of my FAVOURITE RANDOM MOVIES EVER! I think I was in Melbourne when I first saw the movie, but it's on reruns at random times on AXN, and I still love the show and all its randomness. And it has one of my favourite Madonna songs in it. Madonna. I know. Don't criticize me. It's a nice song.
And, LOL, JULIA PUTNAM AS [Spoiler]. She's got BLUE EYES. KIND OF, THE WRONG EYE COLOUR? And... HOW OLD is that kid? She's, like 4'6", which is... TINIER THAN SHAWN JOHNSON. And she was on Frosted Pink With a Twist. SHE MUST HAVE SEEN SHAWNJOHN AND HBIC AND OMG ASAC.
"Special Skills: ANIMAL LOVER, ARTS & CRAFTS, GYMNASTICS, HULA HOOP, RAZOR SCOOTER, TRAMPOLINE, WORLD TRAVELER, Billiards/Pool Player, Bowling, Fishing, Gymnastics, Ice Skating, Jump Rope, Ping Pong, Rollerblading, Running - General, Snorkeling, Swimming - ability - general, Trampoline, Improvisation, Modeling, Singer"
Those are weird things to put in a resume, but *shrug*
Going to fangirl about Zelkjo Ivanek and Lori Petty on House now.
[Edit] OH MY GOODNESS LORI PETTY WAS ON NY BEFORE? I REMEMBER NOW. SHE WAS THE LADY WHO OWNED THE BILLIARDS PLACE. OH MY GOODNESS, LOL.
I totally meant that I'm going to study Moral and Add Maths.
