4x10 promo pics.

I just realized that we haven't said anything about the new House promo photos yet.

Click ['ere] to see 'em.

They're supposedly photos for 410, but the only thing I notice about the episode is the pic of Hugh with the patient.

New team+Old team+Wilson-Cuddy!

They all need to see the tailor. Their pants are too long. Especially Chase. Those poor pants...

But, seriously, where's Cuddy?

And don't get me started on the weirdness of *some* of their outfits. *cough*CameronThirteen*cough*

Eh?

My life is so eventful right now, I can make you cry...

...

of boredom.

Yeah, so now my sis and I are doing all the housework since my maid's gone back to the Phillipines for her hols. So, yeah. Mop, mop, mop, sweep, mop, iron, sweep, wash... Oh, well. At least I'm doing something.

Oh, MS, now I know why there was a big, BIG advert of Dexter on CSI:NY - Showtime is a CBS-owned company, so they can advertise in their own shows. Hm.

And a little The Black Donnellys/Jonathan Tucker picspam so that MS knows what Jonathan Tucker looks like - if you haven't googled a pic of him yet, that is.

It's a TBD promo pic.

And so is this one. With everyone!

....Posers....

*Sigh* NBC cancelled a good show. Oh, well. Doubt it'll ever come back, now with the cast having other projects, and OW supposedly signing a series-regular contract for House. No Jenny Reilly then, which means one half of Tommy Donnelly's story gets ripped off. Hooray.

I've only finished the Sulphuric Acid bit of the Chem project. ONLY. Time to get your ass back to work, woman. Sheesh.

random picture thing.

I was looking at some old Medical Investigations screencaps in an Anna Belknap fan community at LJ.

Lookit this.

Looks like Candy, right?

LOL.

House fanvid!

I'm not exactly the kind of person who really watches fanvids, unless someone (Like Min Shen or Yenn Ling- House and CSI NY respectively) asks me to, but I found this little gem on my own.

However, watching it may cause Extreme Lack of CCF Syndrome. But hey, I'm so un-invested on anyone on House, sometimes I wonder why I like the show so much. I think it's the sarcasm.

ANYWAY,

It's really, really good... In my own opinion, of course.

I'm not shoving it down your throats. Don't watch it if you don't want to, but I think the song's kinda cool.

Long New York rant.

Wow. CSI:NY's latest episode was...

Wow.

It was funny and sad at the same time.

How our actions have profound consequences on people around us, whether we know them or not.

I must say, I think this was one of the best NY episodes. I think the season started picking up since Commuted Sentences (407, after that funny Halloween ep that MS used her phone to partially cover her eyes and Yih Shan thought was scary. Was it?). I've always loved the music mixing on CSI:NY (A bit more so than House), and they really did have the songs to suit the eloquence of the episode.

Not much Mac this week, thankfully, and no more, "It started in London, when I recieved anonymous phone calls exactly at 3.33am.... *Sense of impending doom*" But I think Gary Sinise and Anna Belknap did really, really well to portray how emotionally detached their characters are. Mac being uber stiff and Lindsay just not knowing how to react to a situation involving someone that she really cares about. I feel that I can connect with Lindsay in a way, as I myself am bad at the whole 'comfort others' part - ask Yenn Ling or Joanna about that. Seriously.

The A case victim was DISGUSTING. He got his MOUTH blown off! His... Jaw! Nose! And I thought there were some disgusting looking bodies. This was... Urgh...

Anyway, my annoyance with Adam goes on to no end. Seriously, you've been working with them for 2 years, and you're still too nervous to talk properly with Mac, or Sid, or Hawkes? Sheesh, much?

Carmine Giovinazzo deserves at least a Golden Globe/Emmy nomination for this episode. You could just feel how Danny was so torn. Obviously a supporting actor nomination, as Gary Sinise's the lead actor, and Hugh Laurie OWNS the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Drama Series. And the lady who guest starred as Danny's neighbour/Ruben (The 10 year old victim)'s mother also deserves at least a nomination for Best Guest Star. However, the bodega shop owner's sister cannot emote to save her life.

Hee, Flack, Stella and Lindsay in casual clothes and their NYPD jackets. JEANS FTW, man. Did 13 start a new trend in other TV shows? Hmmm. LOL.

And NY has got THE BEST Medical Examiner in the series. SID! With itching powder! Stella and Lindsay could BARELY contain themselves from laughing out loud as poor Sid was scratching himself. Then, the trio have a very funny banter.

--------------------------------
Stella: Oh, there is one more thing, Sid. [Inaudible scientific name for something] - in India, they're also known as velvet beans, cowage, but here in the United States, we normally know it as *whips out evidence bag, with a packet inside* itching powder.
Sid: *Looks at evidence* Oh, no, aaaw, no! *Lindsay laughing, Melina Kanakaredes showing of her perfect Colgate-ad smile*
Stella: Looks like he stuck it in his pocket, then after the blast, it got all over his clothes.
Sid: Then why aren't you- *gestures at Stella and Lindsay* uh, uh -
Stella: The long-sleeved labcoats, both stylish and functional.
--------------------------------

Yeah, so basically Stella was advertising their labcoats. LOL. Scrubs no good! Labcoats PWN!

And so, the packet was from 'Laughing Larry', a joke shop, Lindsay recognizes the suspect (They pulled thumbprints off the vic's wallet) as Laughing Larry himself. And so, they set out to see Laughing Larry with Flack.

In between all that, there's Danny drama, blah, blah, blah.

Then, we see Flack, Stella and Lindsay outside, walking towards...

Flack: Laughing Larry? You gotta be kidding me. Do you know how much of my childhood was cruelly destroyed by this moron?
Lindsay: Trust me, I feel your pain.
Stella: You 2 want to enlighten me, here?
Flack: I was into comic books as a kid, right?
Lindsay: Yup!
Flack: And this guy had full page back cover ads on every one of 'em selling dribble glasses, onion gum, hypno coins, whoopee cushions-
Lindsay: Plastic vomit, rubber dog doo- *Does that "You know what I mean" gesture*
Stella: Mmm, sounds great.
Flack: Oh, yeah, and they all looked great, and I'd do whatever it took - I'd scrimp and I would save, I would mow every last lawn in the neighbourhood to get my hands on sneezing salt, or a 100-piece battle fleet (?). And then, I would go to the mailbox, and right before my innocent young eyes- Disappointment in a cardboard box.
Lindsay: I once spent my entire summer allowance on this hovercraft that Laughing Larry said would bring *In a sarcastic voice* "Me and my friends riding on a carpet of thin air!" Hover-crap!
Flack: How 'bout the X-Ray specs I bought in Middle School to see through girl's clothes? All I saw through those things was a nun, coming at me with a yard stick.
Lindsay: Unbelievable!
Flack: Right?
Flack and Lindsay: *Looking hopefully at Stella for a story*
Stella: Uuuuh.... I bought Sea Monkeys!

LOL. Stella- you see? That shows your age. Not a good thing.

Anyway, best line from Mac was -

Mac: *To Adam* Somewhere in this sentence, you're going to start making sense.

Hee. They were talking about eyeball tattooing.

Not any normal tattoo- an eyeball tattoo. Injected dye INTO your EYEBALL. Yucks.

Better not spoil any more, for when YS wants to see it. I shall just chuckle silently to myself on Flack and Lindsay's childhood suffering. And Mac's stiffness.

Rants and rambles

I dunno, but I suddenly miss Singapore again.

I miss the public transport, the fact that I can end up in the opposite end of the country, and still get back to a relative's house in less than an hour.

*Sigh*

But then again, I would give anything to keep my friends that I have right now. See? There's always a bright side to everything.

About 2 weeks before I leave for Shanghai. I'm pretty stoked about the trip. Haven't been to a place during winter since... Since... Since 1997? LOL. So long ago.

Feeling a little down recently, thoughts quite scattered.

Hard to believe that we are THE seniors next year in school. No more students who are older than us, the prospect of the world looming, awaiting to consume us once we get out of the world of school. When we enter college, when we slug our way through uni (Eventhough I can hear my cousin shouting "Humanity courses are slacker courses!") and to the world out there.

Time flies by so fast. It was like yesterday, I was 4, walking along with my grandmother, that I was 7, just starting primary school. 12, when it all started to open up. Then I was 13. Then 14. 15. Now 16, and very soon, 17. It is said that as the brain develops, we lose sight of minute details, having too little time to contemplate. Savants - they may be handicapped mentally, in a way, but it opens up a whole new world for them. Not that I want to be a savant - the prospects of one side of the brain being partially damaged is quite horrifying, but the fact that they see things so differently...

Very soon, we'll have to throw off the carelessness of youth and submit to life...

Oh, well. That's why we should live in the present. Make the most of it. And I'm sure Appreciation Night have been a good jumpstart for most of you.

---------------------------------------

And now comes the shameless advertising bit.

Watch An Inconvenient Truth. Buy it. Borrow my copy. Whatever. I always thought that what mankind is doing to Earth is bad, but after watching AIT, it's not bad.

It's really, really, SERIOUSLY HORRIBLE. It's scary.

Plant trees. Lots of them. And recycle. And walk to school, if you're near enough (And, no. 10 minutes IS NOT FAR. And claiming that you wake up at 7.30am, so you can't walk to school is a lame excuse. WAKE UP EARLIER). Or carpool. Anything that helps.

The world may be fine now, but think about 5, 10 years down the line. When YOU are working, paying the air-conditioning bills, the water bills, taking shelter from unexpected storms.

Think about it.

What sort of world do YOU want to live in?

=|

I can't seem to find those books that teach you those card tricks - you know, like sleight of hands stuff...

*sigh*

Anyway, I'm home. Whee.

Raaaaaaaaaaaaandom!

I just realized something after reading some House forums.

If 13's a Mary Sue, then so is Justine.

LOL.

Er...

I wanted to update since... 2 days ago, but my cousin's other laptop couldn't seem to connect to Blogdrive. I wonder why...

Been having a good time in Singapore, bought very little things, found nothing I was looking for, but finding some other interesting things. Didn't bring the camera along with me, so didn't take any pictures (I'm sorry, Pei Lyn!).

HOWEVER, I did see something I really wanted to see for a long, long time.

I caught a 3-second glimpse of it. Hey, I was on the train, it was stationary in the showroom, okay?

The Audi R8. *Drool*

I saw 2 very big, very pretty advertisment banners. And the actual thing in the Audi showroom. The MRT just swooshed past the showroom-I barely caught a glimpse.

Out of the... total of 6 hours spent on Orchard, almost all of it was spent in bookstores. Yay.

I SAW THE HOUSE SOUNDTRACK. BUT THE PLACE THAT WAS SELLING IT WAS... SELLING IT AT 26 DOLLARS. SO EX, MAN. I was looking for it at That CD Shop after that, BUT THEY DIDN'T SELL IT.

And I don't get it. I HAVEN'T SEEN A SINGLE HOUSE DVD ON SALE. I SEE HEROES AND GREYS ANATOMY AND ER (From Season 1) AND CSI AND CSI MIAMI, BUT NO HOUSE AND CSI NY. WA;DLFJADL;FKJA;OIWERBOAIWURAI;J!!!

I saw some A5-sized tablets here, costing about 127 dollars. Not bad lah. Compared to the RM1300 for an A5 Wacom, and RM1600 for an A4 Wacom. They con us back home, man. Seriously.

I read Stardust, which was really good, but I still do not have any intention on going to watch the movie. Nope. I'm not going to spend 9 bucks and 2 hours or so of my life watching a movie. And I'm reading one of my cousin's uni text. Uh, she's kinda studying History, so it's "England in the Later Middle Ages". The intro's like, 78 pages, can? But I finally trudged through that, and I must say, it is interesting.

AND I MISSED MY BLACK DONNELLYS FINALE... *Bawls*

Will update again later when I remember anything else.

...

I promised Jen I'd update... So, here's the update!

I'm going down to Singapore tomorrow, and I'll be back on Sunday. Hopefully, I'll be able to get whatever I've been meaning to buy in Singapore.

I will (almost) definately be having a working Internet connection over there, so no worries from that front.

I'm having a blogger's block. Argh.

*wibble*

OH, Hugh Laurie's so out there on Blackadder. "Permission to wibble my lips, sir"
