But worse.

My computer decided to get its hard disk corrupted (that's what Dad and I are guessing) after Mum finished up on searching for bread recipes on the Internet. How the heck do you get a hard disk corrupted from Googling "Bread recipes"?

Anyway, so now I can turn on my computer, but it doesn't go to the blue user-select screen. It just stays black. With the mouse pointer (Which is still interactive!) there. Sigh. Can cry. DO YOU KNOW HOW DEPRESSING IT IS? I don't really care about my Internet bookmarks and such (My memory/frequency of using the Internet = I already wrote down my bookmarks), but... MY MUSIC. MY PICTURES. My videos not so much lah, I have them on my thumb drive/House and NY are still early into the season I'm not losing much eps. Not like they've been great this season either. BUT MY PICTURES. I JUST REALIZED THAT I HAVE BACKED EVERY ONE OF MY PICTURES BUT THE ONES FROM SCHOOL AND COLLEGE. CAN CRY. THOSE. THE MOST IMPORTANT PICTURES. THE ONE I CAN'T GET BACK SINCE I'VE ALREADY DELETED THEM FROM THE CAMERA. SOME OF THEM ARE NOT ON FACEBOOK. Sigh.

For music, well, all I have to do is redownload about... 170 songs. That's all. I've passed Dad most of my songs the last round, INCLUDING Viva la Vida and Left Right Left Right. I have Ocean Eyes on my thumbdrive, but now I have to go searching for my Transatlanticism, You Leave Me Alone, Drive My Soul and A Puzzle That Fell mixes. Sigh.

Thank goodness I saved all my uni applications in my thumbdrive. Or not...

Billy Joel's "We didn't start the fire" is stuck in my head. Catchy song.

Aww bb! I'm sorry for you!

UGGHH I know the feeling of losing pictures and music. If you do get your HD up and running again, go backup all the pictures first :D

Sorry to hear about your HD. I know the feeling.

Googled the problem a bit (gah, couldn't resist). Looks like there are some things you can try with your OS CD before you go to professional help.

If it's not a hardware failure, I can try to help you out (my qualifications - can surf Google; too much free time). :)
